acoustic or electric guitar?

i’ve been saving up for a while but i need to keep it under $ 1000. i love to play clean “real” acoustic songs, but it’s also great to rock out on electric guitars. i currently own a fender squire strat and a Yamaha cheap guitar. not sure if i should go acoustic or electric, big expensive decision, please help

acoustic, for starts. then work your way up to an electric when you feel your right for it.

  1. i would go for a good electric right now..i got a epiphone SG prophecy with EMG pick ups its a sweet guitar the neck makes it easy to move around and the pick ups are great..also with electrics u can get a clean sound and distorted but i would recommend getting an acoustic later.the guitar i got was 650..and later i bought a cheap acoustic and now i wanna get a cheap classical acoustic

  2. The notes and techniques are similar . Electric is loud but cool . For electric , you need amps . For acoustic , you can just bring it anywhere and play a tune for your (bf/gf/friend)
I would prefer acoustic , but its your choice .

  3. i love both electric and acoustic, maybe you should consider getting a cheaper acoustic first, i got a steel strings acoustic guitar on ebay for about £50 (don’t know what that is in dollars)
maybe get sumin like that as a test run, obviously wont be great quality but will let u can compare ur cheap yamaha to your new acoustic to get a rough gauge on what you prefer

  4. I’d suggest an acoustic guitar. I bought a Yamaha acoustic guitar last year, and it cost around $ 470 and it still plays well.
