Acoustic/electric guitar sounds bad through my amp.?

Hi i have a Taylor 114ce acoustic/electric guitar and whenever i hook it up to my amp (Peavy 15 watt) i can really notice buzzing strings and even the pick hitting the strings. It seems like all it does is amplify the mistakes lol. When i play the songs without it plugged in they sound perfect. Is this because it is a cheaper Taylor and cheap electric amp or what? I also have a line 6 UX1 pod that hooks up straight to my USB and when i plug it into that it’s not quite as bad but i still hear little problems. How can i fix this? Thanks!!

thats because you are running it thru clean. get yourself an effects box and you put it on distortion or chorus or flange it will sound like a rockstar.

  1. that is your taylor.

taylors are known to suck and sound like sht.

that my friend is called sarcasm. cuz actually i bet your taylor is the least of the problem

the problem is your amp, three reasons.
    1. its a peavey, peavey’s are very transistor-ish, bright sounding and present (i have one, not hating on peavey)
2.the 15 watt has a small cab which makes it even more bright and less warm
    3. all AE guitars have that problem

    solution

if you can, get a full size amp, full size cab, 60 watts or more, tube or at least transtube solid state

if you can not get a new amp simply boost you mids, cut your highs alot and cut your bass a little.
