i dont know of anyone thats selling a lefty… but maybe you could look on ebay?? i wouldnt suggest getting a guitar off there though without seeing it first… make sure its near you so you can go play it, and see its condition first hand… sometimes depending on whos selling, they might mislead you and ake you think your getting a good deal
Michelle, if you haven’t already started to learn left handed, don’t! You are starting to see one of the drawbacks of being a left handed guitarist. There are more….all the instructional material, tabs and chord diagrams will be backwards. You won’t be able to play other people’s guitars. Even when you find a source of guitars, your selection is limited.
I can understand that you think since you’re left handed, you need a left handed guitar. It just isn’t so. Playing guitar requires equal work from both hands. Right handed players have to train their left hands to do all the delicate chord fingering. Left handed players have to train their right hand to strum. Either way, one hand is going to feel clumsy at first. It’s the same way with piano or any other instrument. How many left handed pianos have you seen?
I have left handed friends who play right handed, and others who play left handed. It can be learned either way….so why start yourself down the more difficult road unnecessarily? Best of luck to you which ever hand you decide to use.
