Okay, this is really 2 questions in 1:
1: I want a cheap but versatile electric guitar, as I want to be able to play bits of music from Frank Zappa to Guns N’ Roses.
2: Can you reccomend a website for me that has good, free guitar lessons.
If you know the answer to one or both of these questions, please reply.

These days there are many good, cheap guitars to choose from. Only you can decide which body style/electronic setup works best for what you want to do. Sometimes, one doesn’t cut it;I have 10 and counting. Dean guitars tend to be pretty terrific for the money. Really though, it depends on the set up of the individual axe. Some come from the factory perfect, most don’t. It’s generally worth the extra $ 100.00 to have it set up by a professional. And by all that is holy, get rid of those strings that come with it, first thing.
As for online lessons, pretty much the same deal: only you can figure what works best for your musical desires and learning style, and one generally won’t do it all. Good luck!
