Its all based on your opinion of how it sounds and how it plays. If its quality, but you don’t like it, don’t buy it! Get something you like. Id rather play a mid-range Schecter than a high-end Fender

well if you start with electric, your not developing the finger strength you need becuase the strings are much closer to the flet board on an electric, but you can hold an electric guitar better because it doesnt have a big body. Although, i would go with acoustic because you do have to adapt if you learn electric then acoustic. Either way, its guitar, so it just depends on your preference! Good luck playin!

Here’s the best tip for a beginner, concerning buying an electric guitar: Don’t buy an electric guitar.

That’s right. Buy an acoustic guitar. You need to learn the fundamentals first. You have to learn how to swim before you go buy a boogie board. Same principle.

Fixed bridges ALWAYS have better tone and sustain than vibrato bridges. Floating bridges have the worst tone/sustain of them all. When the bridge can move, vibrations escape, which means you lose tone and sustain.

So unless the whammy bar is an important part of your playing (like it is for guys like Jeff Beck, Joe Satriani, and Eddie Van Halen), get something with a fixed bridge.

That really depends on the music. I have seen a lot of bands with bass, acoustic, lead and two rhythm players. If it sounds good to you, there isn’t a right or wrong answer.
